ESG gap analysis

Reinvigorating the ESG approach of a training company.

TTC Group delivers unparalleled expertise in improving road safety through managing driver compliance, risk and learning.

When TTC Group contacted Rawstone they already had a long established ESG approach. They had published multiple Sustainability Reports and were particularly advanced in their approach to greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and social value. Rawstone were appointed to conduct a gap analysis of their work and make recommendations for the next steps in their journey.

Key highlights from the project include:

  • An assessment of sustainability maturity. TTC Group’s approach was evaluated against Rawstone’s proprietary Stages of Sustainability Maturity framework to give a clear indication of where TTC Group were on their sustainability journey.

  • Clarity on ESG ambition. Through interviews and desktop analysis that explored internal, customer and investor sustainability expectations we were able to advise TTC Group on an appropriate sustainability maturity level to aim for.

  • A deep dive on approach. An in-depth technical review of TTC Group’s ESG compliance, policies, data and strategy was conducted with detailed findings shared.

  • Tailored recommendations. A series of specific and detailed recommendations were made to enhance the company’s approach. These were each clearly justified, explained, and prioritised to give TTC Group a practical way forward.

We found Rawstone’s Sustainability Maturity Framework invaluable in understanding how we were performing. The recommendations made were very specific to TTC Group and showed a good understanding of our business, our clients and our ambition level. We were able to implement some of their recommendations immediately and have clarity on our next steps.
